PRE-K MINistry Birth-4yr Thank you for giving us the opportunity to teach your child about God and his wonders. Our purpose is to set a foundation for a life long walk with Jesus. Our Core Values for Nursery/Pre-K • God made me • God loves me • Jesus wants to be my friend forever more		CHILDREN'S MIN 5yr-5grd We teach three virtues: * I can trust God no matter what * I need to make the wise choice * I should treat others the way I want to be treated We do this by showing : * The Bible is the source of wisdom and truth * How what they learn applies to their daily lives * That relationships with small groups leaders and friends matter more		Sixth Grade Sixth Graders are in a unique place in life…somewhere between being children and teenagers. For this reason, we have created a program specifically for them. On Wednesday evenings, 6th graders meet and check in at the ARC Check-In Table at 6:15pm. Next, they head to the sanctuary for “large group time”: which will include a team building game or worship. After large group, the girls head to their small group and the boys head to their own group. During this time the kids will be working on developing the core concept of understanding their identity (Milestone 3- Preparing for Adolescence). The program ends at 7:30pm.
YOUTH MINistry 7-12 grd Teenagers are not only the future of the church, they are the present church. We take seriously our call to provide teenagers a safe, comfortable place to come to be accepted unconditionally and develop relationships with strong Christian role models. We offer service opportunities, bible studies, midweek worship and small groups. more		EDGE MINistry 7-12 grd This group formed as a result of God blessing us with a group of skaters and their friends showing up faithfully every Wednesday night and challenging us to rethink how we do ministry. We had been operating with a “one size fits all” mentality when God obviously created us all differently with varied needs. God provided a vision for 2 different tracks for our Fuzed program. The Edge group meets in the youth room every Wednesday for relational time, large group worship and small group discussion. This ministry is led by an incredible group of passionate adults. Check them out on Facebook		YOUNG ADULTS 18-25 The Journey exists to connect with those who have graduated from High School and are now navigating their way in the world trying to discover God’s purpose for their lives. Small group meets weekly to discuss and debate relevant issues to help young adults discover and live out their core beliefs and values. The Journey group is currently looking for volunteers to coordinate meetings for our college-aged members and young adults. The Journey Group also attends the SEVEN gathering of college students hosted off-site. Email jfortney@stmattcpc.org with questions.
