Highway Cleanup:
Wilshire Blvd or Hwy 174 as you come into Burleson is our Highway Clean Up area of responsibility. Join us on scheduled "Work Days" to don a vest and do our part in making the world cleaner. We provide vest, bags, and tools. Watch the calendar for scheduled clean up days.
Habitat for Humanity:
Habitat for Humanity,is a non-profit, Christian housing organization building simple, decent, affordable housing in partnership with people in need. No training necessary! Come together to build, wire, paint a house for someone who otherwise would not be able to have one. Watch the calendar for Habitat Opportunities.

Holiday Friends:
Before Christmas you will see the Holiday Friends Angels appear on Christmas trees in the foyer of the Sanctuary and the ARC. Please consider taking an angel from the tree and purchasing the item listed, so that a young girl or boy might have a present under their tree for Christmas.
Little Red School House:
Little Red School House is a community program that begins in late summer. This program is for children who will begin school without school supplies. With your help, much needed supplies are distributed to children who are in need. When you see the "Little Red Schoolhouse" pop up at church, get a request form. Take that request form to the store and purchase the item listed. Bring the item and the request form back to church. We take care of the rest.
CARS 4 Christ:
To apply for a car, write a letter explaining your situation and bring letter to St. Matthew front office and we will forward to the Cars 4 Christ committee.
Carter Bloodcare:
Carter Bloodcare is here in the ARC every Monday from Noon to 6:00pm. Stop by and give some blood.
Relay 4 Life:
Relay For Life is the signature event for the American Cancer Society to raise awareness and to raise much needed funds. Thanks in part to generous contributions to Relay For Life, the American Cancer Society helps people to get well, stay well, find cures and fight back against cancer. Funds raised through Relay For Life help to create a world with more cancer survivors.
The 2012 American Cancer Relay For Life Of Burleson is scheduled for Friday, April 13th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. and ending at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14th, this is the 11th year for Relay For Life in Burleson. St. Matthew will have one team and there is no limit to the number of team members we can have.
Burleson Pregnancy Aid Center:
The mission of the Burleson Pregnancy Aid Center is to affirm life by providing emotional, spiritual, educational and material support in a non-judgmental environment. Our vision is to Love God, Love People and to Love Every Life. http://pregnancyaid.org/
These services are offered free of charge: pregnancy tests, limited sonograms, pregnancy options education, adoption agency and maternity home referrals, medical, financial and legal referrals, prenatal and parenting classes, material assistance, spiritual encouragement, post-abortion support groups and perinatal hospice.
Volunteer opportunities at the BPAC; we offer training for all volunteers in positions such as client advocate, teacher, front desk support, data entry, abstinence presenter, and Rachel’s Hope Resale. You can make a difference by serving in a mission field in your own backyard.
We also appreciate donations of maternity and infant clothing, baby items and baby equipment, as well as, financial support for the Center. Clown Ministry of St. Matthew CPC:
Clown Class Summary:10 sessions with topics covering Intro To Clowning, History of Clowning, What Clowns Do, Costumes & Make-Up, Character Development, Use of Props, Puppets, Simple Magic, Games,etc.
Opportunities for Service:
1. Gospel (church related): Children's Ministries, Bible Schools, after school programs, holiday events, Mission Trips, Presbyterian Night Shelter, church parties etc.
2. Community Events: Holiday Friends, Little Red School House Events, Harvest Run, Halloween events, parades, festivals, schools, etc.
3. Outreach: Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Ronald McDonald House, etc.(laughter IS the best medicine)
4. Charity events: Relay for Life, all disease related charities, CASA.
